‘I was born and raised in Groningen. They’re known for says Kop d’r veur, meaning “never give up”. That’s exactly my approach to work and life. Employment law was a very conscious choice on my part. Dismissal, maternity leave, a reorganisation or a new job: they always involve the human aspect. And almost everyone has to deal with them at some point in life. Also, employment law is very dynamic: legislation and case law change all the time, so you have to stay sharp. Moreover, no two cases are the same: every client (company, organisation, works council or individual) is unique and has different interests. That makes employment law interesting and challenging. My way of working is informal and personal. That allows me to establish a trusting and lasting relationship with my clients.’
